How to Get Axes and Swords in Survive Deep in the Woods

Get axes and swords in Survive Deep in the Woods: buy the Prismatic Axe or Astral Edge Sword game pass, or earn in-game currency for the 700 weapon boxes.

There are two confirmed ways to get an axe or a sword in Survive Deep in the Woods: buy the Prismatic Axe or Astral Edge Sword game pass for 299 Robux each from its Roblox page, or earn in-game currency by playing and open the shop's axe box or sword box at 700 apiece. You also don't start empty-handed — one recorded new-player lobby opened with an axe and a simple sword already in the inventory. What you won't find here is a strength ranking: no source shows what these weapons do in combat, so this guide sticks to how each item is obtained and what it's shown to do.

The store page also lists a VIP pass (199) and a Blood Moon Bundle (399), but the listing shows only pass names and prices — the bundle's contents aren't displayed, so don't count it as a weapon source. The gamepasses overview tracks the full list, and the Blood Moon Bundle page follows whatever it turns out to include.

Route 1: Buy the pass (299 Robux)

Both named weapons are official game passes of [🎃] Survive Deep in the Woods, each sold from its own pass page with a "View on Roblox" purchase button and priced at 299 on the game's store listing.

  1. Open the pass page for the Prismatic Axe or the Astral Edge Sword.
  2. Choose View on Roblox and complete the purchase — 299 Robux for either weapon.
  3. Join the game and check your inventory. The recordings don't settle one detail: whether a purchased pass grants the weapon automatically or needs a claim step in-game, so look for it in your inventory on your first run.

Route 2: Earn it from the shop boxes (free)

This is a loop the recordings show end to end: play, get paid, roll a box, and go back to playing when you're short.

  1. Earn money by surviving. The dedicated weapons guide's prerequisite is blunt: "you need to get more embers... make sure you going to survive." Lasting until dawn is the base income — see how to survive the night.
  2. Chop trees. Chopping pays money directly and funds everything else — one player chops trees "fast" precisely to bank the cash for farms and defenses. The basics are in how to get wood.
  3. Reinvest in income farms. A chicken farm costs around 90 coins — one player built one at exactly 90 and announced "coins come quickly" — and a later farm in the same session needed about 300 more. Each farm keeps money flowing between matches.
  4. Open the shop and roll. The lobby menu holds "cases, amber, and passes." In the shop you'll find an axe box and a sword box — "Yah, 700 semua," all of them 700 — and clicking a box opens the roll: "you could have like legendary one... This could be kindly rare," and "the same thing with the sword."
  5. Repeat when short. One player opened the shop after a match, found both boxes at 700, was "a little short," and simply went back to play again — that's the whole loop, repeatable across matches.

Prefer to skip the farming? The same guide adds a shortcut: "You could really buy embers with Robux" — the shop currency itself can be bought, so the box route has a paid fast-forward too.

One naming caveat before you farm: the sources disagree on what the money is called — "embers" in the weapons guide, "amber" in the lobby menu (with achievements paying "certain amber and XP rewards"), and "coins" or "gold" in the survival sessions. Whether that's one currency or several isn't settled, and nothing in the route depends on it: earn money by playing, then spend 700 on a box.

What each weapon is actually for

The axe is the moneymaker. Its documented use is chopping wood — the weapons guide recommends it "because it gives you like a lot of chopping woods," and the survival recordings show why that matters: chopping is how players fund farms, walls and defenses, and one player keeps repeating how much the axe is needed in this game. A better axe feeds the exact economy that pays for your boxes.

The sword is the unknown. It rolls from the same box system and sells as a 299 pass, but no recording or guide of this game shows what a sword does in a match — no damage figures and no class or slot restrictions. Don't assume it's a beast-slaying weapon; treat it as a style pick until something documents its effect. Box tiers carry the same caution: rare and legendary rolls are shown, but what a higher tier actually changes isn't.

Before you buy or grind

  • Re-check prices. The pass prices (299 each) and box prices (700) here come from listings and pass pages marked "updated 2 weeks ago" and can change.
  • Don't budget for a specific roll. Boxes are chance-based, and no drop rates for rare or legendary outcomes are published anywhere in the current-game material.
  • Don't wait for a code. One full guide's check found "there is no codes in this game" — weapons come from the shop and pass pages, not redemption. The Codes page is where any change would show up.

Whichever route you pick, check the required method before spending: 299 Robux buys a named pass weapon outright, 700 earned currency buys a roll at the shop box — and the axe you start with already covers the chopping in the meantime.
